Kate Pratley
Registered Physiotherapist

Kate is a sought after orthopaedic manual physiotherapist and graduate of the University of Western Ontario physical therapy program. She has been a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physiotherapists (FCAMPT) since 2009. She gives back to the profession by teaching in the Orthopaedic division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. Kate is also credentialed in Integrated Dry Needling techniques.

Throughout her career Kate has developed a unique skill set having worked in pediatrics, orthopaedics, and sports. She brings to her clinical practice an understanding of the needs of athletes helping them to both prevent and rehabilitate from injury. Kate uses a powerful evidence informed approach combining manual therapy and exercise prescription to help her patients achieve their goals.

Kate is a two-time Ironman triathlete and in her spare time she stays active with running, swimming, yoga, and other gym activities. She also enjoys trying new cooking recipes, spending time at the cottage, and hanging out with her very large dog.

Dan MacKinnon

Dan is a passionate physiotherapist committed to providing the best care possible for his clients. He applies a comprehensive treatment approach including manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription, and empowering clients through education to achieve their goals. Dan has extensive experience helping people successfully return to the activities that they love.

Dan holds a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Waterloo. He has pursued additional training in manual therapy, soft tissue release, taping, concussion management, and vestibular therapy. 

Dan enjoys playing volleyball, golf, working out, hiking, as well getting a bit too competitive playing board games with friends and family.

Joon Nah

Joon Nah

Certified Vestibular Therapist

Joon is a graduate of the Western University’s School of Physical Therapy and has been practicing as a clinician since 2002. He is a highly educated therapist, noted by his strong advocacy for ongoing post-graduate education and by continually participating in external courses and mentoring other Cornerstone team members.

His career initially consisted of general orthopaedics with a background in both the McKenzie Institute and CPA Orthopaedic Division education streams. He soon added medical acupuncture through obtaining CAFCI credentials.

In 2006, he developed a strong interest in treating dizziness and concussion disorders eventually redirected his focus to only practice in this area. He has several vestibular program competencies including the prestigious Emory School of Medicine in Atlanta and the University of Pittsburgh’s Advanced Vestibular Course. He has helped thousands of patients in the Toronto area and is pleased to now be treating vestibular patients in the Burlington, Oakville and Milton communities. He is proud to be a founder of the Cornerstone Dizziness Clinic.

When he’s not helping patients, you’ll find Joon re-living his glory days as a former professional musician, or starting yet another home renovation!

Adam Brown

Adam Brown

Adam is responsible for clinical leadership and staff development at Cornerstone. As an experienced physiotherapist and a leader in the industry, he is a mentor and teacher to physiotherapists who are looking to take their clinical skills to the next level.

He has completed a postgraduate Masters of Clinical Science (MClSc), is recognized as a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manipulative Physical Therapists (FCAMPT) and is credentialed with the McKenzie Institute International (Cred. MDT). He has been trained as an advanced practice spine clinician and regularly teaches at the university level. You will find Adam supporting our physiotherapists and patients across all of our clinics while challenging us to find new and innovative ways to serve our patients better.

Following a ski crash resulting in many serious injuries, Adam has had to practice what he preaches. This has given him a unique perspective on what is required for successful rehabilitation and the support that our patients need to achieve their goals. In his spare time you will either find Adam spending time with his family, skiing, or relentlessly exercising!
